Without fail, when I ask a new applicant if they have considered writing an Impactful Experience description, they immediately assume I'm speaking about the Most Meaningful description. These are two very different pieces of writing, in different spaces, and used for different purposes by the screener. Future Physicians for Change 2026

From December 10–12, 2026, premedical and medical students will gather in Washington, DC, for Future Physicians for Change, AMSA’s national convention.

Through interactive sessions, networking opportunities, advocacy experiences, and student competitions, attendees can connect with peers and healthcare leaders while building the knowledge and confidence to create meaningful change in medicine.

The 2027 PREview testing calendar will be available in mid-November, and registration will open in February. We will talk a lot about PREview when we get closer to that point, but once we know the dates next month, I'd like to pick a date that everyone can try to take it around the same time so we can do a bunch of concentrated prep and get it over with as a group at once.

If you took it last year and got a 5 or above, you do not need to retake it. If you scored below a 5 and want to retake, please do.

If you might qualify for FAP and haven't applied, please do so early.
