One of the aspects of my job that I love the most is bringing people together!
Over the years, I've hosted many events in different states across the country. Whether it is a medical school tour, dinner, or conference, seeing those I work with in person is so rewarding. What makes that even sweeter is when I can bring in former advisees who are now medical students or practicing physicians to share their experiences. On February 6 and 7th, I get to do a little of everything in one of my favorite places, New York City!
On Friday, we will attend the Pre-Health Fair at CCNY, where dozens of medical, dental and PA schools from the Northeast attend. This will give current and future applicants a chance to network with the schools to which they are applying.
On Friday night, we'll meet at 7 pm for dinner at a famous family style restaurant. I have a physician resident in radiology joining us, as well as medical students from different schools.
On Saturday, Columbia is also hosting a Fair (I assume the same schools will attend). Around noon, we'll take a train out to Long Island where we'll tour Zucker School of Medicine.
On Saturday night, you can go out with the group or on your own.
I'll be staying at the Mayfield Hotel, for anyone who wants to stay near me to travel around together.
If you're interested in joining, just join the group on my site so I know. I'll be posting information about/throughout the trip there.
